Boho wedding in the Allgäu region

Träumt ihr von einer Boho Hochzeit im Allgäu? Lasst uns gemeinsam Hochzeitsfotos schaffen, die eure Geschichte erzählen – ehrlich, emotional und mitten in den Bergen.
At the end of October, I stood with my camera in the Allgäu region, surrounded by mountains, clear autumn air, and that very special light that only exists at this time of year. It was just the right atmosphere for emotional wedding photos in boho style. This shoot was specifically designed for wedding photos of the couple, focusing on genuine closeness, details, and the interplay of landscape, design, and emotion.
For me, the Allgäu is not just a region, but a feeling. Wide meadows, mighty mountains, that view into the distance that automatically slows you down. For a boho wedding, this backdrop offers everything you need to create wedding photos that are timeless and unique. The mountain hut at Hotel Rübezahl was the perfect location for this: warm wood, clean lines, lots of light, and a tranquility that you feel as soon as you arrive.
Boho-style wedding photos – natural, calm, and full of atmosphere
The boho style thrives on naturalness, on materials you can feel, and on a certain lightness that runs through everything. That’s exactly what I wanted to show in these wedding photos. No staging, no pressure, just space for movement, for glances, for real moments. The surroundings automatically contributed to this. The light fell gently through the windows, there was already a hint of autumn in the air outside, and inside there was that warm, intimate atmosphere you want for a wedding.
The wedding dress was a wonderful example of how versatile modern wedding fashion can be. Combined with a poncho, it was not only visually exciting, but also absolutely suitable for fall and winter. This is a big advantage, especially in the Allgäu region. A boho wedding doesn’t have to adapt to a season—it works just as well in summer as it does in winter. And that opens up an incredible number of possibilities for wedding photos. Snow-capped mountains, clear air, warm fabrics, closeness—images that you don’t plan, but experience.
Details that bring wedding photos to life
The floral decorations by Siebenrosen were particularly eye-catching. Wild, natural arrangements that perfectly matched the boho concept. Nothing looked strict or overly styled, but rather free and lively. The bridal bouquet was lush but not loud, full of structure and movement. Combined with the hand-knotted macramé, the overall picture was incredibly harmonious. For me as a photographer, it is precisely these details that bring wedding photos to life. They tell stories between the big moments.
During the shoot, there were moments when I paused for a second, looked through the viewfinder, and knew: this is exactly why I love wedding photography. It’s this interplay of design, surroundings, and emotion that ultimately creates images that last. Images that are difficult to choose from later because each one has its own mood.
Papery as part of the wedding story
The papery from Lila Gold also played an important role. Invitation cards, place cards, seating plan, and thank you cards were perfectly matched to the color and style concept. Everything looked like it came from the same mold. This is a real added value for wedding photos, because such elements visually connect the images with each other. They appear in the background, in details, in small scenes—and round off the reportage.
This shoot showed once again how powerful a boho wedding in the Allgäu can be. The combination of nature, tranquility, design, and emotion is something very special. If you dream of getting married just like this – in the mountains, with a view, with feeling, and without stiff conventions – then the Allgäu is a place that offers you all of that.
This photo shoot will stay with me for a long time. Because of the light, because of the atmosphere, and because of the many little moments that quietly crept into the pictures. This is exactly how wedding photos are created that are not loud, but linger long in the memory.
