Wedding at Gut Ammerhof

Some weddings just feel right from the very first meeting. That’s exactly how it was with Tina and Joni. From the first moment, it felt like we’d known each other forever. There was instant familiarity, honest laughter, that feeling of “this just fits.” And that’s why I’d been so excited for this day for so long. I was beyond happy to be there for their wedding, with getting ready in Weilheim and their civil ceremony in Polling. And honestly, this day exceeded every expectation.

The groom’s getting ready

The wedding day started with Joni’s getting ready in his hotel room. Together with his friends, the vibe was exactly what you’d expect from a guys’ getting ready: a little chaotic, incredibly funny, full of jokes, but also full of support, love, and emotions you could already feel. I especially love that mix of ease and deep connection.

After that, I headed to Hotel Bachbräu in Weilheim for Tina’s getting ready. With Tina, the atmosphere was calmer, almost gentle, exactly what you’d expect for a girls’ getting ready. The final touches on hair and styling were done by the wonderful Ronja from Brautstyling Ronja. Tina was accompanied by her maid of honor and her mom. Later, a few more girls joined in, and that’s when it got truly emotional for the first time. Goosebumps, tears, pure excitement, these moments are simply priceless.

Civil ceremony and free ceremony in Polling near Weilheim

For the ceremony, we drove to Polling. It was something really special, because the registrar from Polling shared the ceremony with the amazing Kathi Heddrich. It became a blend of an official civil ceremony and a free ceremony filled with love and emotion, led by Kathi.

One especially powerful moment was when Tina was led into the room and Tina and Joni saw each other for the first time that day. And I truly believe every single person in the room could feel that deep love, that quiet familiarity, and that silent “we belong together, nothing can come between us.”

During the ceremony, personal words were spoken, tears were shed, and there were pure happy moments. It was emotional, honest, and deeply moving. For me personally, this wedding in Polling was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve experienced in all my years as a wedding photographer. Even now, I still get goosebumps when I think back to it.

After the ceremony came warm congratulations, hugs, and so much love. At the Alte Ziegelei in Polling, everyone toasted with a small champagne reception in the most beautiful setting. While that was happening, I photographed the first part of Tina and Joni’s wedding photos in the Klosterhof in Polling.

Afterwards, we headed to the celebration at the CP location, Gut Ammerhof in Peissenberg. The venue comes with an incredible view of the mountains, a light breeze, a flowing dress, windblown hair, and then a little glitter rain during the couple shoot. It was pure magic, like a real-life fairytale. There’s no better way to describe it. This wedding at Gut Ammerhof near Peissenberg felt like something out of a movie.

Back at the venue, it was time for the cake cutting, delicious bites, and that huge excitement for the evening ahead. The afternoon was filled with heartfelt speeches, family photos, and so many tender moments. Every second of this day was full of feeling and depth.

One absolute highlight was Joni’s surprise: the players from 1. FC Union Berlin sent him a very personal video message. As a longtime member and huge fan, Joni was completely speechless. Tina had organized it, and she truly left her Joni without words.

The celebration was accompanied by Whowantsit Catering and, as always, it was simply phenomenal. In the evening, DJ Rovent brought the energy and a packed dance floor.

The first dance was beautiful, and the party after that was next level. Everyone danced. Young and old, even grandmas and grandpas were out there with so much joy. You could feel how happy everyone was for the two of them.

I’m incredibly grateful I got to be part of this wedding in Weilheim, the ceremony in Polling, and the celebration at Gut Ammerhof in Peissenberg.
