Wedding on Mandlstrasse in Munich

Are you planning a civil wedding at the Mandlstrasse registry office in Munich and want honest, timeless wedding photos? Send me a message and tell me about your day.
A civil ceremony in one of Munich’s most beautiful registry offices. This wedding location is a true highlight and incredibly popular with couples. The impressive building on Mandlstrasse in Munich is a real showstopper and creates the perfect setting for your special wedding photos. I’d been looking forward to this ceremony for a long time.

Our first get-to-know-you call was a few months before the wedding. At the time, I was traveling in Ireland, which is why I still remember it so clearly. It’s really important to me that we plan your wedding photos exactly the way you want them. That’s why I take time for you before the wedding, so on the day itself everything feels just the way you imagined. In our call, they told me they wanted wedding photos that didn’t feel posed, with a bit of an urban edge. They were planning a small, family-focused wedding with their closest people, and they wanted plenty of time for photos just the two of them. Everything should feel real, and be remembered exactly that way.
The registry office on Mandlstrasse
The registry office on Mandlstrasse is one of Munich’s special ceremony locations. The historic villa sits quietly in Schwabing and you feel the atmosphere the moment you walk in. That’s what makes it such a perfect fit for intimate civil weddings.
The ceremony took place with immediate family only. Parents, siblings, and their closest loved ones accompanied the couple that morning. The mood was relaxed and full of anticipation. In moments like these, emotions are often quiet. A look that lingers a little longer. A brief smile that says more than words. Hands finding each other without thinking.
The wedding dress was modern and simple, with no flashy details. That understated style matched the entire mood of the day. Nothing distracted, everything felt clean and cohesive. The bouquet fit the dress and the bright summer day perfectly. In wedding photography, conditions like this create images that aren’t staged, they simply happen. Images that capture exactly what’s there.
Wedding photos in the English Garden
After the ceremony, we walked to the nearby English Garden. I love this beautiful park in the heart of Munich.
That July day showed its best side. Sunshine, warm light, lush green, and that special weekday calm. After a quick champagne toast, the three of us stepped away for the couple shoot. It’s especially important to me that we create a relaxed atmosphere together, so my couples stop thinking about being photographed. With a bit of fun and little moments I create just for the two of them, photos for a lifetime happen almost without noticing. They strolled through the park, stopped here and there, talked, laughed, sipped their favorite sparkling wine they’d also had on their trip to South Africa, and simply enjoyed that part of the day as a couple. Those are the moments where images don’t look like a traditional photo shoot, but like time spent together.
The English Garden offers so many different backdrops without ever feeling distracting. Open meadows shift into shaded paths, and quiet corners are just a few steps from livelier areas. Perfect for a wide variety of images.

A calm ending
Afterwards, there was a small champagne toast in the park. Glasses were handed out, congratulations were shared, people chatted, and of course we also took a few family photos.
After the toast, I said goodbye and the day continued privately. No photographer, no set timeline. A deliberate choice that fit this wedding day perfectly. Everything was allowed to unfold as it was.
The combination of the registry office on Mandlstrasse and the English Garden creates the perfect setting for this kind of civil wedding. Calm, personal, and easy. It’s ideal for couples who value closeness and want wedding photos that show both nature and Munich’s beautiful architecture.
