Dream wedding on Lake Starnberg

Dreaming of a wedding on Lake Starnberg with waterfront views and lots of heart? Let’s create memories together.
Some weddings carry a special kind of energy. Sandra and Marius’s wedding on Lake Starnberg was exactly that, a true heart wedding. One I’d been looking forward to for a long time. And then it was finally here, that one day that arrives quietly, and still changes everything.
Getting ready with a view of Lake Starnberg
The wedding day started early in the beautiful Hotel Starnberger See Hideaway. The lake was still completely calm, and the light was soft and clear. That mood is what made getting ready feel so special. Sandra began her day relaxed, surrounded by familiar faces and that quiet calm you only get in the early morning.
Sarah Obermeier created a natural, timeless bridal makeup look and a hairstyle that suited Sandra perfectly. Nothing overdone, just a look that highlighted who she is. That’s how getting ready photos are made that still move you years later, honest, peaceful, and full of anticipation.
But it’s not just the bride who deserves these moments. The groom’s getting ready is a true part of the wedding day, too. Marius chose a look that really reflected his personality. As he got ready, we captured authentic images filled with focus, quiet nerves, and that small smile that says how excited you are for what’s coming next.
First look at Hotel Starnberger See Hideaway
Once they were both ready, one of the most emotional moments of the day followed: the first look. Right in front of the elegant entrance of Hotel Starnberger See Hideaway, Sandra and Marius got to embrace for the first time on their wedding day.
For me, first look photos are some of the most intense moments of a wedding. It’s that instant when everything else goes quiet. The tension melts away and joy takes over. With Sandra and Marius, you could feel it immediately. A long look, a smile, a tight hug, that’s all it takes to know this day is going to be special.
Wedding photos and wedding film right on Lake Starnberg
Right after that, we used the lakefront setting for wedding photos at Lake Starnberg. The lake looked its best: calm, wide, and lit with that special light that makes it so unique. It was a very intentional choice.
Sandra and Marius wanted to spend the rest of the day fully with their guests, without having to step away from the celebration later on. It created a relaxed timeline with space for real conversations and connection. For me as the photographer, and Adriaan as the videographer, it’s always a great setup, because the images happen without time pressure and straight from the moment.

A lakeside ceremony on Lake Starnberg
The ceremony took place right on the shore of Lake Starnberg at Haus am See. This setting alone makes any wedding feel special. The water sparkled, a light breeze moved through the air, and guests took their seats with that quiet excitement for what was about to happen.
The ceremony was accompanied by Three Notes, whose music added an emotional depth that really touched people. There were soft moments where you could have heard a pin drop, and tearful highs that showed just how connected everyone felt. A wedding on Lake Starnberg truly lives from this mix of nature, emotion, and closeness.
Champagne, wedding cake, and sweet highlights
After the ceremony came congratulations, hugs, and a relaxed champagne toast. Another highlight followed right away: the wedding cake and the big candy bar by Happy Cake. Both were a total showstopper, not just visually, but in taste as well.
You could see the joy on guests’ faces as they sampled, laughed, and soaked it all in. These easy, unforced moments are a must for me at every wedding, because they show the lightness of a day that’s still full of emotion.

Celebrating in Murnau, BBQ instead of a classic wedding dinner
Afterwards, everyone headed to Murnau to Zum Murnauer for the celebration. Instead of a traditional wedding menu, Sandra and Marius chose a big BBQ. A deliberate choice that fit their wedding perfectly.
Sharing a meal together, the smell of the grill, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a special experience for their guests. This kind of celebration felt approachable and personal, exactly what the couple wanted.
A long night and memories for a lifetime
The party quickly took on a life of its own. There was dancing, laughter, and celebration, all the way into the early morning hours. This wedding on Lake Starnberg wasn’t just a single day, it was an experience everyone will remember for a long time.
For Sandra and Marius, it was the start of a new chapter. And for me, it was another wedding that proved how special it is to celebrate love in a place that truly feels connected, on Lake Starnberg.
