This wedding in Füssen in the Allgäu region was deeply moving for me as a wedding photographer and will always have a special place in my heart. From the very first moment, it was clear how much love, closeness, and connection there is between these two people. The civil ceremony in the heart of Füssen, at the Füssen registry office, was quiet, warm, and full of emotion. Loving glances, quiet words, and honest emotions filled the room.
It is precisely these quiet, genuine moments that I love so much about civil weddings. They are small, intimate, and incredibly intense. As a wedding photographer, I was able to capture all these moments in timeless wedding photos that will preserve these feelings forever.
A conscious decision: getting married just the two of them
Ever since our very first contact, I have been looking forward to meeting them with all my heart. This wedding was very special from the start because they made a conscious decision to have a wedding day just for the two of them. No hustle and bustle, no outside expectations: just them, their love, and this one moment.
It was precisely this tranquility and intimacy that made this day so precious and unique for me as a wedding photographer.
Getting ready at the Ameron Hotel at Neuschwanstein Castle
The day began at the beautiful Ameron Hotel, right at the foot of Neuschwanstein Castle, in the heart of the Allgäu region. While they were getting ready together, I was able to be right there with them as they prepared for this special day. The atmosphere was calm and yet full of anticipation.
The first tears were already flowing here—out of emotion, out of love, and out of the awareness that they were about to begin a new chapter in their lives. For me, these honest moments are among the most beautiful moments of all and are the heart of genuine wedding photos.

Saying “I do” at the registry office in Füssen
We then drove together to Füssen Town Hall for the civil wedding ceremony at the registry office in Füssen. The ceremony was wonderful, filled with closeness, warmth, and deep emotion. As they said “I do,” the sun shone through the windows of the wedding hall, bathing everything in an almost magical atmosphere.
For me as a wedding photographer, these are the moments when everything comes together—light, feelings, silence, and love—and wedding photos are created that you not only see but feel. I also shed a few tears during these moments.
Wedding photos in the library – a place steeped in history
After the ceremony, we were allowed to take wedding photos in the library. Surrounded by centuries-old books, a very special, almost reverent atmosphere was created. This place radiated so much peace, history, and depth that everything slowed down naturally.
It was a magical moment and, for me, an absolute gift and an honor to be able to take wedding photos in such an extraordinary place in the Allgäu region.
Relaxing moments at Lake Schwansee in the Allgäu region
We deliberately chose to spend the rest of the day relaxing. We created more precious memories during a short walk around Lake Schwansee, which included a snack at the kiosk that may not have been particularly wedding-appropriate, but was completely authentic.
Surrounded by mountains and meadows, the lake is wonderful in every season. An absolute highlight for anyone who wants to get married in the Allgäu region.
Wedding photos that connect and last
These wedding photos are not only priceless for the couple, but also for all those loved ones who could not be there on the day. They allow the couple to relive the love, closeness, and atmosphere of their wedding day in the Allgäu region again and again, and to share it with their loved ones.
That’s exactly what I love about my work as a wedding photographer. I get to create memories that connect and last.
Photo location with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle
The wedding photos were rounded off at another photo location with Neuschwanstein Castle in the background. This impressive panorama had something timeless and magical about it and gave the pictures a very special depth. The majestic backdrop of the castle, nestled in the Allgäu countryside, made this wedding day in Füssen perfect and created memories that will last far beyond this moment.
Wellness & candlelight dinner – a perfect wedding day for two
The couple spent a relaxing afternoon in the wellness area of the Hotel Ameron before rounding off this special day with a romantic candlelight dinner.
To me, that sounds like a more than perfect wedding day for just the two of them – with endless love, closeness, emotions, and shared moments that really matter in life.
Why trust is the basis for honest wedding photos
These two are absolutely wonderful people. They carry so much love within them, treat each other with such care and warmth, and truly deserve the greatest happiness in the world. It was a great honor for me to accompany this small, intimate wedding as a wedding photographer.
That’s exactly why getting to know each other personally is so important to me. This is where we can see whether we are a good fit for each other, because trust, closeness, and genuine togetherness are the basis for honest, relaxed wedding photos that show you exactly as you are.
Are you getting married just the two of you? I am very much looking forward to getting to know you. Get in touch with no obligation and let’s see if we want to embark on a journey together.
